Mortgage Loan Document Requirements

Part of Our Mission here at Salute Mortgage is to provide you with a seamless, stress-free home financing process. We strive to be transparent from your first interaction to your closing and educate you along the way.

Documentation Checklist:

  • Most recent 30 days paystubs
    • If self-employed, a YTD profit & loss statement may be required in lieu of paystubs
  • Most recent 2 years W-2’s, 1099’s, K-1’s (as applicable)
  • Most recent 2 years Personal Tax Returns – all pages and schedules
    • If 25% or more business ownership, most recent 2 years Business tax returns – all pages and schedules
  • Copy of drivers license(s)
  • For retirement income, military or disability income – please provide current award letter(s)
  • Most recent 2 months bank statements (or most current quarterly statement) – (checking, savings, retirement, etc)
  • For any real estate owned, provide – Most recent mortgage statement(s), homeowners insurance declarations page(s), HOA statement/billing invoice as applicable
  • Purchase transactions – provide a copy of the Executed Sales Contract

Additional documentation that may apply:

  • Copy of recorded child support agreement and/or divorce decree
  • DD-214 for VA financing
  • Copy of final settlement statement for any property that has sold within the last year
  • Resident ID card (front and back) – if non-US Citizen
